For the last week Enphase seems to be reporting at longer intervals. The graph now shows large steps at longer intervals. It used to show a much smoother graph. Does anyone know if the reporting interval has changed.?
Same issue. Mine changed on 6/1/17. Looking at the Enphase âteamâ on PVoutput, several others are now showing up at 15 min intervals as of the afternoon of 6/29 or the morning of 6/30. Iâm thinking it may be a selective rollout of a firmware to the envoy. Enphase ignored my support ticket on the topic, responding only that it looked like everything was OK.
Here is the current output which has rough steps:

Here is the output last week with smooth curves:

Are you referring to the interval which PVOUTPUT posts or the actual data that PVOUTPUT posts that it gets from EPHASE. If you are speaking of the arrival time of PVOUTPUT I thought it was reading less often and not the 5 minute interval that enphase actually tracks so that the API to them is not overwhelmed and per some past agreement when that was made as I recall. I still get my data collected from enphase sourcing of 5 minute intervals and have notice no change. Though pvoutput may get the data every 15 minutes it still has the 5 minute detail from enphase. So no change from me noticed. I use PVOUTPUT who gets the data using the standard API to the enphase site sourcing with no special other uploads directly from me. https://pvoutput.org/list.jsp?id=7551&sid=6577
The same with my SolarEdge inverters. Methinks something changed at PVOutput or something changed in the graphing function that they use from Google or wherever.
mspohr⌠My graphs are showing the same problem, but beginning a month earlier. Go to Live Outputs and search âGold Country, Auburn CAâ to see mine. You might want to join the âEnphaseâ team (397 sites) and you can see who else has the real-time jaggies.
The issue seems to be on the Enphase side since their Enlighten monitor shows the same issue. PVOutput, through the Enphase âteamâ shows that itâs only SOME of the Enphase installation that have this problem. And itâs many more recently.
The numbers suggest its not an Envoy failure, but possibly a new firmware update, or a policy change for Enlighten.
Hmmm⌠wayner9, I see what you mean. Is the SolarEdge site giving you smooth (5 minute data), but PVoutput is not? That is not my situation⌠Enlighten shows only 15 minute data and feeds it to PVOutput.
I wonder if you had âdonorâ status and it expired??? A donation gets you 5 minute refreshes, but I thought you still got the 5 minute data, just later. Maybe not?
Mine started the afternoon of the 29th. Itâs not a pvoutput thing , I see it in my enlighten as well. I think that Enphase is reducing their server bandwidth by going to a coarser resolution. Iâm guessing their stock price may have something to do with it. Need to check their quarterly reports for G&A cost savings.
There has been no changes on the PVOutput side - it reports the data returned by the Enlighten API.
However, it has not affected all Enphase systems. This one is still reporting 5-minute data.
Enphase is still reporting at 5-minute intervals, however they seem to be averaged from 15-minute data.

The MyEnlighten site shows 15 minute intervals for me now on the daily graph for current dates and also the past few months. (Iâm not sure what it was showing before since I rarely use it.)
However, I was able to download data for yesterday and it gave me the data in 5 minute intervals so it still seems to be collecting data in 5 minute intervals.
I donât know whatâs happening on the PVOutput side since itâs now showing 15 minute intervals rather than 5 minute intervals. Is Enphase now only handing out 15 minute intervals to PVOutput?
(Edit: Just noticed that Enphase gives me data in 5 minute intervals but they report the same value three times so they must be collecting data only every 15 minutes.)
Enphase does still send âreportâ power (kW) data in 5min intervals, but mine is not correct, probably computed from stored 15min energy (kWh) data. Hereâs my enlighten graph and a sample of the report data from yesterday. Note the strange repeating sequence⌠2 equal values then a lower one resulting in a sawtooth graph. Graphs and data before 6/1/17 are smooth 5 min data (except for clouds!) and are all sawtooth after that. But âtodaysâ graph (shown last) is ALWAYS stair-step, and thatâs the data PVOutput gets⌠go figure.
Whoa⌠I just noticed that the API data shown by bankstownbloke shows the same sawtooth pattern that I showed from the Enphase report data, above, However PVOutput seems to smooth it out into 3 equal power values in a row⌠yes?
For me everything still looks the same using the SolarEdge monitoring and the SolarEdge app. But in PVOutput I get the stairstep charts as shown by mspohr as my reporting is now only every 15 minutes. Could these be because I have not renewed by PVOutput subscription yet? So now my reporting interval is lengthened to 15 minutes?
I just donated again so hopefully I will be back to normal soon.
I have the same issue from 13 June. https://pvoutput.org/intraday.jsp?id=34446&sid=32620
I have noticed on the PVOutput side that my settings for the system automatically default to 15 minutes even if I choose 5 or 10 minutes once I reoload the settings page it is back to 15 minutes, using a longer setting does save correctly. So it would seem something is different on the PVOutput side.
I also noticed my Enphase system reporting changed on the 30/06/2017 at about 10.30am AEST. It now reports the same value for each 15 min interval rather than a unique value every 5 mins. What has changed??
I checked about 60 systems (of 397) in the PVOutput âEnphase teamâ today, and about 20% of those had lost the 5 min update in the past month, 2 of them yesterday, and 1 just this afternoon. Iâm wondering if itâs aimed at a certain class of site⌠like those of us who self-installed and arenât linked to an installer, or those using the API⌠or maybe itâs just a slow roll-out for some reason.
The change is on the Enphase side.
Each interval downloaded from Enphase is 5-minutes apart.
The power amount reported repeats for 10-minutes (two intervals) as per the below. This results in a âstaircaseâ graph.
- 155W
- 155W
- 104W
- 111W
- 111W
However, this is only affecting some sites.
Please contact Enphase support if your site is affected.

This is the polling interval, which controls how often data is retrieved from Enphase.
The status interval is always 5-minutes for Enphase.
These settings are unrelated to the change made on the Enphase side, which was to average 15-minute data into 5-minute intervals.
Here is a sample of the data I downloaded from the MyEnlighten site after the change.
They say they are reporting 5 minute intervals but the report the same value for three 5 minute intervals in a row.
(Iâll give a try at contacting Enphase but in the past I have found their support to be useless. They just say âcontact your installerâ.)
