As of this morning AEST I am not getting any Solaredge Inverter production data in the PVOutput. Anyone having similar experience? I am getting the string text when I click on the API Key TEST and this seems to point to the correct info.
Have communicated to Solaredge Aus support who were not aware of any issues in the API and will investigate the API all the same.
I think Solaredge have fixed the issue with the API. The PVOutput Autoloader is working now.
Is anyone else having an issue with data being received from SolarEdge today because as of 7:00 am Pacific Time I stopped receiving any data. When I tested my API Key under settings it returned a response of “access denied”, which shouldn’t be the case since I haven’t changed any of my settings.
It hasn’t been working for about 16 hours.
Looks like SolarEdge API server is responding with an error for all API requests to https://monitoringapi.solaredge.com -
Error
IP address not allowed: 10.42.186.138.
request_id: xxxx
Hopefully it resolves itself soon.
Even for me. Stopped yesterday at 2pm European central time
Me too. It stopped around 10am EDT (yesterday on March 9) so that would be around 1400 UTC. I logged into the SolarEdge monitoring website and it made me accept a new TOS and privacy policy. Maybe that is the issue with the API as well - you have to do something to accept the new terms?
Also failing for me.
Mine stopped at the same time and I accepted the same TOS and PP updates.
Perhaps it’s related to what @bankstownbloke mentioned in the re-authentication thread: “There’s been a fair amount of malicious bot/script activity consuming server resources.”
It seems SolarEdge have disabled the ability to query inverter serial numbers via -
https://monitoringapi.solaredge.com/equipment/(solaredge-site-id)/list.csv?api_key=xxxx
Without this PVOutput cannot continue to download 5-minute inverter data.
Until this is resolved, manually add the serial number in the PVOutput config below -
If you do not know the serial number(s), PVOutput will now step down to 15-minute intervals.
If somebody has a SolarEdge support login please tell them the following API endpoint URL is no longer working -
https://monitoringapi.solaredge.com/equipment/(solaredge-site-id)/list.csv?api_key=xxxx
This lists all the inverter serial numbers for the site.
Added my Inverter Serial Number and the missing data from last two days was populated immediately. Thanks for the tip.
My data populated after adding the inverter serial number, but when I tested the URL with my site ID and API key (both yesterday while troubleshooting and again today to report the problem to SolarEdge Support as requested), my inverter serial number appeared in the results as expected.
Update: I tried again today and the CSV endpoint no longer works (but the JSON endpoint does), so I opened a case with SolarEdge Support.
bankstownbloke, since I already had both of my Inverter Serials fields entered, I reached out to my installer and they provided me with the updated API key for my system. When I updated and saved the API Key field for both my Primary Device and Secondary Device (even though the TEST button still returned “access denied” when pressed), PVOutput immediately started to create entries for yesterday and today, but those entries are only showing consumption data and no generation data as shown below so I still need some help in resolving this. Thanks
My system generation stopped reporting again at 16:45 PDT on March 11. No generation being reported for March 12. Everything shows up on Solaredge app but not on PVOutput. EDIT: As of 15:40 today the generation data is back plus the info that was missing yesterday.
It looks like they have removed csv access - this works though
https://monitoringapi.solaredge.com/equipment/1122664/list.json?api_key=xxxx
I noted that as of 8:30 PM Pacific Time last night, PVOutput stopped receiving any data from my SolarEdge system again. Since I’ve made no changes to my PVOutput system settings since last Wednesday when I input the new API key provided by my installer, I can only assume that there’s an issue with the SolarEdge API again.
Let me be the first to say that SolarEdge support has never been easy to deal with. Over the last 7 1/2 years since I had their system installed, their support has always been hard to reach, gave out incorrect information or were simply indifferent to whatever issue I was having, so I doubt that I can compel them to accurately identify what the issue is this time.
Since it’s now been a full week since PVOutput has received a correct set of production/consumption data (while my SolarEdge system and app show no gaps), I suppose I will have stop using PVOutput unless someone in PVOutput support can figure out what’s going on and fix it. I will continue to check in periodically every so often to see if this issue is resolved until my PVOutput subscription expires later this year. That’s unfortunate after 7 1/2 years of using this wonderful app, but it is what it is.
PVOutput resumed loading data from both of my sites after I added the inverter serial numbers last week and has worked perfectly ever since. SolarEdge has yet to respond to the ticket I opened on 13 March about the CSV endpoint returning Access Denied (vs. the JSON endpoint with same parameters returning data as expected).
I noticed that my SolarEdge data wasn’t loading earlier today, but when I refreshed right now it all showed up.
