PVOutput from Enphase system since 11:00 datapoints changed from 5min to 15min by itself on 23/04

Hi,

I noticed that till 11:00 CET i have datapoints every 5 minutes in PVOutput, but after 11:00 this changed to every 15 minutes.

https://pvoutput.org/comparelive.jsp?sid=99840&df=20230624&dt=20250423

While there is/was no configurational change done by me on PVOutput or Enphase.

What has happend?
Did Enphase change something?

Hope this will be solved soon.

Edit:
Looks like the data in PVOutput at 11:00 is a summary of the Enphase datapoints 10:50 + 10:55 + 11:00.

Also for 10:45 the total Watt is beyond the PV array possibilities.

I am having the same problem and did not change any configuration settings.

I had this same problem back in November 2024. Enphase did an update where they pushed a change to the polling interval from every 5 minutes to every 15 minutes. This time it took me two sessions with Enphase support to resolve. The last technician logged into my Enphase systems and changed the polling again from 15 minutes to 5 minutes. It has yet to hit on PVOutput, he did tell me it could take a little while. I entered into chat sessions at Enphase Community.

I contacted them first thing this morning, and I have tickets when this happened to me on Dec 8th, 2024. I now have 3 tickets today, both phone and email, and it still hasn’t been resolved after them telling me they reset the api polling from 900 seconds to 300 seconds. I’ve just emailed them again, referencing the last ticket number saying it was fixed 4-5 hours ago.

This is different than the data we had on 12/8/2024. https://pvoutput.org/intraday.jsp?id=25081&sid=22879&dt=20241208 For me, I had the same data in power & average for 10 polling periods.

Now, I’ve got 0’s in power & average. BrambleB 23.895kW

Weird how they can get consumption polling correctly, but not generation.

Your problem in Nov 2024 was caused by the polling interval of the micro’s “polling-period-secs” : 900 to be found at [IQ-GW IP]/ivp/peb/newscan
I had the same block shaped graph around that time and Enphase support changed this parameter back to 300 sec.

I do not think the at least 2x higher average power value comes from Enphase…

@bankstownbloke how are Power and Average calculated?

If I compare dates it looks like that Power is now (with the 15min gap) calculated as difference in Energy between 2 datapoints times 4, while Average is Energy difference times 12!

On earlier dates with the 5 min interval, Power and Average are both times 12 the Energy difference…

Same here since April 23 2025 ?

Just chatted with Enphase again, data still not correct, they’ve rebooted Envoy, swear it’s at 300 seconds. We’re back to wait and see.

Well, after today’s “fix” nothing has changed. BrambleB 23.895kW

Has anyone had any luck? And if so, can you reply here with your Enphase case number, so we can all say here, do this → fix? Thanks!

I am having the same problem as well, started yesterday 4/23 at least before the Enphase micro-inverters woke up first thing in the morning. Have not really had any issues in the last 11 years with getting the data from Enphase API’s to pvoutput.

I collect net consumption data from my utility meter as well, and this issue also then screws up the backing out of actual consumption data (= net consumption - Enphase generation). Though I should be able to fix it by manually uploading Enphase data I can download from their Englghten portal.

I have not yet opened a ticket with Enphase. My Envoy is the old-style one for M-series micro-inverters, the beige box that plugs into a home wall out (rather than the newer ones that go into your main panel) - but I suspect that doesn’t matter, and the Enphase API polls their Enlighten servers.

How do we know the change happened on the Enphase side, and that something on the pvoutput side didn’t change the way it polls Enphase for data?

I wonder if this “issue” is an Enphase problem, as in the Enphase app and webportal I see all working/normal as before. All the 5-minute datapoints of all the micro’s (DC voltage/current, AC voltage/frequency, Temperature) are visible in the Enphase graphs.

Do you know where/how we can check this “api polling setting” in the IQ-Gateway?
Nevermind this, as it will be between PVOutput and the Enphase servers…

The issue you had on Dec 8th, 2024 was a different polling parameter, the one that controls the micro polling interval. “polling-period-secs” : 300 to be found at [IQ-GW IP]/ivp/peb/newscan

Thanks for the info [IQ-GW IP]/ivp/peb/newscan as I was unaware of that info. I definitely see 300 in there. I’ve emailed api@enphase, but haven’t heard a peep from them. At least the totals on the PVoutput widget are correct on my phone, but unfortunately graph is horrible with the spikes. The only thing I can think of at this point is Enphase changed the output and allowed polling frequency, so we’re getting numbers that pvoutput isn’t expecting.
