Where do we need to go to get this again every 5 minutes, at PVOutput or at Enphase?
Ah, yes, correct⦠the graphing interpolates the absent consumption data quite well for the missing data points⦠but its now inserting zeros into the generation data instead of interpolating it like consumption.
Before the āspikyā graphs of the last four days with zeros in them the graphs were smooth. On the 23rd the graph is rippling like it was inserting interpolated data and on my system the daily generation on PVO was 33.6kWh instead of the 20.3kWh that Enlighten and my Shelly / HA system reports - interestingly, thatās166% of actual and I think that would be the calculation IF interpolation power data was added to summed (15min total) power generation⦠I hope isnāt too confused but it seems an explanation for my overblown generation figure.
I have the same problem. From 5 minutes for years and sinds a few day its updates only 15 min.
I also have the problems with Enphase. Only gets displayed in 15 minutes now.
But now the graph breaks down completely.
You also canāt compare with other systems anymore because, in my case, the graph doesnāt go beyond 7:40.
If you now compare it with another Enphase system the graph remains almost blank.
Compared to a system that registers every 5 minutes then this is the result.
@bankstownbloke So, who can definitively tell us, is this an Enphase problem or a PVO problem? And whatās necessary to fix it? Thanks!
@bankstownbloke Until Enphase can solve this polling interval problem, is there a way to smooth out the generation curve? Would changing the Status Interval help to provide a cleaner view of the every 15 minutes data?
Iāve got the same issue so hoping we can figure out what the solution to this issue is. Itās unfortunate timing as my son just started a household solar and consumption data project last week and the data looks very odd.
Changing my Poll Interval for Enphase on PV Output to 30-minutes from 15-minutes appears to have corrected the gap of 0 generation.
Automatic Uploads: Enphase v4
Primary Device: Solar
Poll Interval: 30 Minutes
Minimum Enphase interval is 20 mins.
I have continued to push Enphase support. I received this message today.
Hello Bill,
We have identified an issue with the endpoint and currently have an active support ticket addressing it. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Please allow us additional time to investigate the root cause of this issue. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Regards,
Nikhil
Hi Billz, I have also logged at complaint about the 15 minute data rather than 5 mins.
Thanks for your info so far.
Iāve noticed that even though the drop down lets me pick 5 minutes, and I save it, it always reverts to 15 minutes. Iāve now set it to 30 minutes, and Iāll see if the spikes disappear. Iām wondering if pvoutput has hit some sort of api limit in polling Enphase, and would have to jump to the next pricing tier?
Hello together
Due to another support case Iām currently working on, I contacted the API supporter again about the status of this case. He responded as follows:
āYes, there is an active support ticket regarding this case, and I have escalated it to the Engineering team for further investigation. We are currently working diligently to identify the root cause. I will keep you informed of any updates.ā
So itās safe to assume that the people at Enphase are working on it. Therefore, it probably doesnāt make sense to bother them again with the same tickets ā I think. Letās just let them work in peace and wait a bit.
Regards
Roman
I am one of those with a case they are working on and escalated. On 4/23 I noticed wonkey reading but also the 15 minute interval. Several years ago they tried to put my system at 15 minute intervals and I demanded they put me back to 5 as I am grandfathered. Even as of today off the phone they claim mine is set to 5 and their own animation shows 15 minute interval like PVOUTPUT is still today. The case with them I am seeing and tracking is 17971763. I dont know if this is just mine or their main one for this issue in general and just got off the phone with the guy.
I am hoping also they dont point back to PVOUTPUT.ORG as the issue and only the owners and BB can confirm no changes were done on PVOUPUT since 4/22 my PV readings on 1 system were fine but another high/doubled in some recorded times and so wonky and from 4/23 total fine but 15 minute interval showing with 2 of 3 lines with no production progress as the day goes on noted with 0ās in the POWER column where a reading was present for first of the 15 minute interval.
BTW Enphase confirmed they are reading 5 minute intervals by panel from my home system per a picture support sent me.
So has BB and gang confirmed nothing on PVOUTPUT side is causing this?
Is it confirmed that a workaround is setting 30 minute polling interval? I donāt want to change it if it only breaks things more.
Dont know and waiting on BB and gang to tell us. And as I recall when they once made it 15 and the site here was not recording double 0s as 5 minute entries there was still a step case in the curve so it was not still smooth like 5 minute intervals produce. Now I dont know if BB and gang can smooth it out IF we had to go to 15 permanently. But my take to Enphase was were grandfathered in and should handle it as such by system ID into whatever source they are letting PVOUTPUT to read through the API where we give the system id and user id to perform it with.
Iāve been mucking around the past few days with different settings, and today itās showing a smooth graph.
Change Status interval to 15 mins under Live settings, and changed Poll Interval to 15 mins under Automatic Uploads and my graph is now smooth and data appears correct. (Unless of course itās a giant coincidence and thereās been a fix elsewhere)

Today
Mine is still incorrect, so it hasnāt been fixed yet. Checked my settings, and Poll Interval was already set to 15 minutes. I changed my Status Interval from 5 to 15 minutes, and weāll see how that goes.
I can confirm, these webrixauās settings above have worked for me. Iām now reading 5min intervals again on Live.
Thanks webrixau.
Are you getting 5 minute readings though on the LIVE?
I can also confirm that the settings @webroxau mentioned solved the problem for me. It now looks even better than ever, because those ugly 15-minute steps are now gone from all(!) charts (Power Used, Power Generated, and Temperature).
My chart has never looked this nice; weāll see how long it lasts.
