Wunderground Temperature

Hi,

Approximately 07:30WST today my Temperature data stopped being populated on PVO. I have two systems that share the same Wunderground API Key but obtain their data from two different weather stations. If I go in to the PVO SETTINGS for both and press the TEST link the API call works and weather data appears. I have not altered my Wunderground API Key.

Coincidentally this morning when I used a particular weather app on my iPad it failed to return any valid weather data. The weather app has since started working again. The weather app and PVO share the same Wunderground API key.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

I posted this message at 17:05WST so around 9.5 hours since the problem commenced.

Seems to be too many errors from wunderground so it was removed from the download schedule. If wunderground is working again, just edit your PVOutput system and ‘Save’ to re-activate the download.

Hi @bankstownbloke. The problem only appears to have resolved itself after I pressed the ‘TEST’ link in the PVO settings for the relevant inverters. I have also used my API key on a third inverter and that is still not recording any temperature data. I guess that it will also need a ‘kick’.

Hi @bankstownbloke I am continuing to experience random drop-outs in PVO obtaining the Temperature from Wunderground.

If I go into the settings of my system [ SID 60955 ] and press the ‘TEST’ link next the API KEY text box the test function correctly and returns JSON data from Wunderground. If I then press ‘SAVE’ and then wait for 10 minutes or so PVO retrieves the day’s missing Temperature data up to the current time. Are you able to see why the Temp data stop being populated? PVO failed to retrieve Temp data most recently either late last night or early this morning LOCAL time.
I have not changed or updated my Wunderground API Key. I use the same API Key for several PVO systems and they are all experiencing the same problem but at differing times.

Wunderground does on occassion respond with empty data (204 No Content) but only once since 20th Nov on your system. Recent logs appear okay.

Since its not considered an error the system will attempt to retrieve the data again in the next 5-minute schedule.
