Wunderground sleeping with inverter

Hi all,

I have solaredge inverter with a Tesla Powerwall 2, have the integration service doing the powerwall thanks to a bunch of very helpful people on some very good threads. I use the Solaredge Api for consumption as the primary device. I have my PWS on wunderground as the weatherstation. The problem is the wunderground only works when the inverter is awake, so I only get temp displayed in daylight times.

I can set wunderground as the primary device and the solaredge as the secondary and the temp works fine, but then for some reason the solaredge does not output an energy value so I don’t get a total energy for the day,

I also run a small script that uploads an extra temp sensor attached to my solar hot water heater tank.

Is their something I am doing wrong to stop 24hr wunderground updates? Its not a big deal I see some options around it if that’s how it is, ie add temp to my script, run a second integration service to use powerwall solar and set wunderground as the primary but I do the setup i have as both the solaredge and wunderground will catch up readings if they have an unsucessful upload and the integration service I don’t think will? I have unreliable internet so anything that catches up is an advantage.

thanks for any input

Personnaly I use the PW2 data for all readings, and just check the Enphases data periodically to verify the data.

Don’t know the inverter you have.

Thanks for the reply, yea probably should just bite the bullet and use a second service, wunderground has been down a lot lately so probably should just upload everything myself

Cheers

This is the expected behaviour. Temperature can’t be logged without power or energy data. This isn’t a problem when logging 24hr consumption data.

Thanks very much, I’ll get the second service going for powerwall generation and put winderground as the primary
