Will I loose my PVO data if I change from Current cost/Xively to Energomonitor?

Hello PVO world…

In May 2015 purchased and setup a Current Cost system from Smartnow in Australia, with the ability to monitor Solar Generation, Home Usage and 3 other power outlets. Since then my system has been sending data to PVO via Current Cost / Xively.

Recently I learned Xively is likely to close down, and Smartnow have recommended I move to Energomonitor. Even though this doesn’t require new hardware I understand it will result in a new Feed & API key (and a new subscription).

I’m likely to go ahead with this change but am wondering if I will still be able to view and use my existing 2.5 years of data on PVO ?

I know I can download my data but it’s the PVO interface to the data is important.
TIA
Chris

Chris,

Once your data has been uploaded to PVOutput, it’s there for good. You shouldn’t have any problem switching between different sources for the data. For example, over the last six years I’ve used the Service Integration Uploader, my own PERL Scripts and the Enphase Auto Uploader to put my data on PVOutput. The old data is always still there after changing methods.

:+1: Confirming this is always the case.

It is possible to upload consumption in using one method and generation in another and they will be combined in the single system.

OK that’s good to know … thanks all
