Unless you keep an eagle eye on your inverter screen for error codes or monitor your smart meter with an eagle eye or get the occasional error message from your inverter provider most do not know their is a problem with the solar feed in until they get a quarterly Bill.
I am currently with Origin and sometimes I get a feed 2-3 days after use but frequently their system can go down for a couple of months at a time.
The home loop app - even if it is a user pay system would allow those without internet connection to just keep an eye on things in real time via their smart phone - thus avoiding a shock bill and getting the problem fixed up.
