Where's my solar feed gone?

Hi all,

My solar generation dropped off my pvoutput feed after updating tariffs on 2 July. I’ve since changed my settings using all help variables for a xively feed, but to no avail. I’d really appreciate some assistance to see if I have missed something.

I have a Current Cost Envir monitoring kit linked through to pvoutput, with my solar feed set as appliance 1 on the Envir lcd panel, and the consumption as the main input - both are working fine and showing live data. I’ve donated since the problem started to ensure all functionality is available and replaced the outdoor unit batteries, but I can’t seem to get both consumption and generation to show on pvoutput. I’ve tried the pvoutput help info for a xively feed, changing both data streams identifiers (0 and 1), tried with both a primary and a secondary device - I think I’ve been beaten by this, and I have no idea why.

I’ve followed both the pvoutput help file and the smart now help for this setup (http://www.smartnow.com.au/2015/06/24/use-pvoutput-org-to-monitor-your-solar-with-a-current-cost-gateway/), but no success. My electricity meter shows I am feeding solar back in to the grid, so I know the solar system is working.

So, here’s some questions - do I need a secondary device setup for automatic uploads or just a primary? What should the direction be set to in automatic uploads? What numbers should be used for primary and secondary power, and what setting for the secondary power???

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The secondary device has been configured as solar using the xively channel id 0.

However, this is a temperature feed -

OK, I I assume then that channel 2 is my solar feed, and that I don’t need to have a second device, it should be achieved through a single primary device with primary power set to 1, and secondary power set to 2 (assume ‘opposite’).

Thanks for pointing me towards my xively feed, I had missed that bit.

I just changed the channel to 2 and it works - today’s solar generation is there. Many thanks

Yes, this can all be configured on the single device which frees up the secondary device if it is needed in the future.
