My system recorded the partial solar eclipse today. Power was 52% down at the peak about 11:05 AM in San Clemente CA. The sharp dip just before was a passing cloud.

Interesting phenomenon. Irony is what happens to the grid at such moments if every solar generator dips. Can we potentially have electricity blackouts. On the contrary will long lightening incidences at night cause the PV system to generate voltage. I have seen this with my solar garden lights - turned on briefly after the battery had drained just after a few bolts of lightening hit the night sky.
Not to worry! Shadow only lasts a few minutes. It’s
like a large cloud passing by.
