Sigenergy SigenStor Inverter

Hi PVOutput people,

I have been using PVout since I installed an SMA inverter system since 2012 using PV Beancounter.

About to install a new system based around a SigenStory inverter.

Has anyone setup a feed from SigenStor to PVOutput.

I’m still waiting for my 30T-48 to be installed and was looking to use the Home Assistant HACS integration for monitoring/managing the Sigenstor, but was thinking to also run a seperate Docker with the MQTT alternative that recently became available.

Whilst originally thinking I might just use the REST commands to publish from Home Assistant to PVoutput, I noticed that this new MQTT solution lists that is it can automatically publish “Production and Consumption Data to PVOutput”.

Simplest way to use it would be to run up the docker image the author has also provided (Docker on Proxmox or even a Pi4 should do). See: https://github.com/seud0nym/sigenergy2mqtt

I’d be interested in your findings on it, when you’ve already got a Sigenstor up and running?
Are you waiting for install and then post 1st July to commission ?

Thanks for your feedback.

New panels and inverter set for install this Thursday replacing a 2012 SMA inverter and 5K of panels.

Battery’s are set for install 2 or 3 week of July.

I will have a look at your suggestion but might be above my level of technical expertise - I struggled to get PV Beancounter operational after my original system was installed.

Will keep you advised

Regards

Jeff

I just got mine the other day. Waiting on the battery to be turned on after the 1st of July.

The Home Assistant Rest command pushes the data up to PVoutput better than my old Fronius could.
You just need to make sure they turn on the Modbus access in the Installer App. They can even do it remotely. But this allows a lot of data available in the device This is a good thread about which one to use Sig Energy System Integration - #101 by wattmatters - Third party integrations - Home Assistant Community

It also helped when i needed to tell the Installer where to look. Also ask the AI in the Sig Energy app and it will tell you how to turn it on as well. (if you have the installer app

and how do you get the installer app…?

Do an apprenticeship as a sparky, sit the courses and exams for SAA certification etc, then enroll with Sigenergy and do their courses and finally create an installer account (that requires for sparky license number).

Alas, limited chances for mere users to get such access :frowning:

did you get sigenrgy inverter to upload to pvoutput via HA ?

I had a Sigenergy system fitted 10 days ago (10kW panels, 5kW inverter, 16kWh of batteries) replacing an old system following re-roofing of our house. I asked the installers to enable modbus which they did. Then I installed Home Assistant under Docker on my NAS. Installed HACS and then “Sigenergy ESS Integration for Home Assistant”.

After trying many scripts, all of which failed to work, I found one procedure which is easy to set up and works well.

Running in Docker, it seems that I can only upload real time data, not historical data as mentioned on his page.

This is my page: https://www.pvoutput.org/intraday.jsp?sid=9778

I hope that this helps someone.
