If I renew my donation for another year early ( 8 days) will it roll over on the anniversary date of my last donation or take effect immediately forfeiting the left over 8 days?

For anyone interested the answer is Yes your left over days are added to your new 12 months if you renew your donation early.
/source: just renewed for another 12 months and left over days were added.

Sorry to bump this old thread but the expiry notification does not seem to take the year into account.
(I renewed some time ago but still got a reminder today)
The expiry is on 22 June 2023 in 7 days, if you added to the donation today it would add 1 year to this date or 22 June 2024 - instead of the current date.
This means you can donate prior to the expiration date without losing any days.
