Night time solar generation

Hi,
I’m getting a solar output of 70W showing all night.
I’ve tried all the variations I can think of to show zero solar output when it is <80W, but the "test’ always shows “Invalid Rule: parse error line 1”
Can you please show the correct rule to give the result I want?
Thanks. DH.

Have you tried this: if (out && power < 80) power=0;

Thanks very much - that was not one of the options I tried.
The “test” shows it will work.
DH.

Are you using CClamps?
I added Pulse Output DIN rail mounted to fix mine, more accurate as well.

At the moment my Smappee, which didn’t record night time solar, is on the fritz and a new unit is being sent by the Smappee people.
I’ve reverted to the Efergy I was using before I fitted the Smappee a couple of years ago. The Efergy’s accuracy is horrendous, but at least it’s giving me an indication of what is happening.

bigharps, what sort of system are you using? I have been getting a night time solar reading on my Efergy monitoring system. Are you getting the reading on your monitoring system or on PVOutput?

Also, when you say the Efergy’s accuracy is horrendous, how horrendous is horrendous?

Hi bigharps

I’m also getting a nightime solar output. 210W in my case, even worse than your 70W.

Did you find the cause?
