New to PV stuff but I recently had a 13.65kWp system installed with a SUN2000 KTL-12 inverter, it doesn’t have any network interfaces and I didn’t really want to shell out another £500 for the smart logger but it does have RS485 with Modbus on the RJ45 connector at the base.
So I picked up a cheap USB-RS485 adaptor on Amazon and have written a python script to pull the data from the inverter, the posting to PVOutput is currently done separately with NodeRED but I thought I’d share the Huawei stuff at least, I guess it should work for other RS485 Modbus inverters if you can fine the list of registers to read.
