Extended data stopped

hi my extended data stopped 3 days ago after working ok for 6 years and i have been unable to find out why, I have tried restarting the inverter-- Rpi and the modem, all look to be working fine any thoughts please jim

Hi Jim,

Could the IP address of your inverter have changed recently? The RPI may not be able to ‘poll’ the inverter.

Was the inverter rebooted or have a firmware update?

G.

possibly, the power went of twice on Sunday, how can i check it please as there is no screen or key board on the PI, thanks for the help, this morning its working again full extended data displayed ok

Hi Jim,

It looks like your inverter provides the MAINS voltage via the following API call

http://fronius/solar_api/v1/GetInverterRealtimeData.cgi?Scope=Device&DeviceId=1&DataCollection=CommonInverterData

This is where my script obtains the values for VOLTAGE and FREQUENCY. It seems though that this API is only available whilst the inverter is inverting. When the inverter goes to sleep - overnight - no data are available. To test this can you try access the link later today AND after dark? You may need to substitute the inverter’s IP address for ‘fronius’.

Because I also have a Fronius Smart Meter installed I can extract the mains voltage ( x3 ) 24x7 because the consumption meter is always active. This also explains why you need to use the METER PUSH from the Fronius inverter to upload the other information

https://pvoutput.org/help/push_services.html#meter-parameters

I will await for the emailed copy of the getVoltage.log file

Thanks,
Walter

Here is an example of the API queried from my computer - to my Fronius
