I currently have an alpha ess 5x2 kw system.
There is a battery supplier in Sydney who will provide another 2x5kw batteries however as they are Sydney based they won’t do the trip to Newcastle. They will however sell me the batteries and I will have to get my own installer.
I would like to ask the community if you think this is a good idea and also how would I go about getting a certified alpha ess installer in Newcastle to install the battery.

Going by the google search there seem to be Alphaess suppliers and installers in Newcastle.
If the supplier can’t provide you with a certified installer then you are perhaps going to find a battle with warranty at some stage if you go on your own.
If you are stuck then the option might be to contact the Clean energy council database to look for installers near you - https://www.cleanenergycouncil.org.au/consumers/find-an-installer
