Yes i think as an individual that works, As an appliction/service you have a developer key combined with user accoint credentials the limits apply to the developer key. Any app/service that uses individual developer accounts is against their Terms of service.
I got a new email this morning, here it is:
Hi Gerald,
Our V1 Monitoring API shuts down on November 3, 2026. After that date, V1 calls stop working. All plans are free until November 1, when billing starts. A good moment to choose the plan that fits your call volume. Your integration should already run on V2 and be in its final tests, so your service continues without interruption.
We have also released version 2.1 of the Monitoring API (V2) on the SolarEdge Developer Platform.
What’s new in version 2.1
- Inverter status: power limit, operation mode, inverter mode and temperature.
- Battery status and grid charging: battery state and internal temperature, plus the energy charged into the battery from the AC grid.
- Lifetime energy: read from onboard counters, so gaps in reporting do not affect the total. Available for the site, external production, inverters, storage and meters.
- Device parent and firmware: each device now shows the device it is connected to, when it has one, and its full firmware version.
- Clearer API reference: fields that can be null, time zone rules for dates and error formats are now documented.
Full details are in the release notes.
Before November 3, confirm that:
- You have created an application: an API key for Fleet access, or OAuth credentials for Site access with your site owners’ approval in place.
- Every call goes to V2 (https://monitoringapi.solaredge.com/v2). Use the V1 to V2 migration guide to map each V1 call to its V2 equivalent.
- Your production sites return data on V2, tested end to end with your own sites and keys.
- Your plan covers your call volume. Plans and limits are in Tiers and rate limits.
Best regards,
SolarEdge Developer Platform
I opened the last link; Open the migration guide.

Can anyone help me figuring out what I need to do? I made an account back when I first opened this thread. I think I need path A, but I’m not computer savvy. I need it in steps that I can follow and understand, like making a recipe when cooking if that makes sense.
Here’s a screen shot for an example:
This may as well be in Swahili and for all I know, it is!
