"MyPVOutput" App for iOS

Hello,

Thanks for your appreciation! I will add a widget next, but the comparison is a bit more difficult - but I will try to think of how to solve it graphically.

Thanks again - and also for any review/stars on the AppStore.

OK, I added small/medium widgets! Hope you enjoy it! The review process takes some time, but it should be in the AppStore Monday at the latest I hope.

I also redesigned the Today view, now, if you click on the chart, you can see it in full screen mode. An in landscape mode.

Here are the screenshots:

BTW: I want to be honest with you: I am working on this project in my free time, and do not make any money from it. I made the price as low as possible, but it still does not even cover the costs of the Apple Developer Account fee. So I am really grateful for any review/sharing - they make it possible for me to continue to work on the app. And as I want to make ot working well for you, I am putting lots of time and effort into it.

And my son told me today, I shall create a PayPal link, so if you want, you can “buy me a coffee” virtually. So I did - but no pressure, of course!

Thank you!

Hello!

First I have to apologize as the widget refresh wasn’t working properly in some cases. I changed the code to make it more reliable, so the widget is now working reliably for all users. It shall get new data approx. each 15 minutes.

Secondly, I implemented the feature a user requested - comparison! Either of two installations or if you have only one, you can compare it with the day/month/year before. You can choose production or consumption and switch fast. It is showing an icon directly in the bottom menu, where you can click and see the comparison. I hope you will enjoy it! This is a great feature I love to use, too:)

As for the small improvements, I smoothed the temperature graph a bit and the other graphs as well to make it more readable.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and I am still appreciating your feedback and new ideas!

Current version is 3.0. Thank you!

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share the latest update for the app, which introduces Apple Watch complications and a native Watch app. You can now monitor your solar production and consumption with 15-minute background refreshes.

In addition to the Watch support, I’ve refined the visual language of the app with better card designs and a more consistent color palette. I have also resolved a known issue where months were not selectable in the Year View.

With the successful achievement of my primary design goal—a simplified, high-legibility experience for non-technical users—the app has reached a stable milestone. Updates will be less frequent moving forward, but I remain open to any feedback or suggestions you may have.

Thank you again for your ongoing support!

The newest App is 4.03; the widgets are now nicer too. And the reliability of the Watch App fetching data is improved. Enjoy!

Hello everyone,

I just submitted a brand-new update (Version 4.21) to Apple. It will be available on the App Store for everyone the moment it passes the review process (usually within 24–48 hours).

Everything is running fluidly and fast now. I hope you enjoy using the app as much as me my parents-in-law do!

Thank you so much for all your support, patience, and feedback. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!

I made the system requirements as low as possible - these are iOS 15.6+ and WatchOS 8.7+ (thus supporting relatively “old” devices, too!) - I hate that you have to get rid of “old” devices, even if they are still working perfectly well.

Best regards,

Michal

Hello everyone,

The new update (4.30) is officially out and should be rolling out to your local App Store shortly. Here is what is included in this release:

  • New Lock Screen Widgets: Track your live solar metrics at a glance without even unlocking your phone.
  • Refined Comparison View: Better gestural navigation and sharper visuals to help you compare your daily generation and consumption data easily.
  • Watch Optimizations: Smoother performance and better layout handling for Apple Watch complications.
  • UI Fixes: Various small corrections and visual polish across the app.

A quick note on app sustainability: For those of you who would like to support the ongoing development, I have added a purely optional tip-jar subscription (€0.99/month or €9.99/year). It doesn’t lock any features behind a paywall; it is simply there to help offset the annual Apple Developer fees and hosting costs. I am not running this app for a profit, but keeping it updated takes a lot of time and resources.

As always, there is absolutely no pressure. Thank you so much for your support, and I welcome any feedback or feature requests you have!
