Thumbnail photo of my system

In this system, I can see a thumbnail of the image I added: https://pvoutput.org/list.jsp?id=3078&sid=2835
But in another system, this thumbnail is missing: https://pvoutput.org/list.jsp?id=3078&sid=19023

Why is this? Does it have anything to do with image links starting with ‘https’? Because according to the documentation, the link has to start with ‘http’.

What is the URL of the photo?

Where does one apply a thumbnail for your system? I don’t find it in any of the menu items. Is it the first photo you provide? What determines whether the thumbnail is shown?

The thumbnail is automatically generated from the first photo link provided.

The thumbnail is missing in the second link. The URL of the image is http://static.sonnenertrag.eu/img/plant_base/large/22620.jpg

This is my link to the first image posted…is there something preventing the generation of a thumbnail?

I added the quotes to prevent display of the image here. Is the “https” notation the problem and should it be “http” instead?

Sorry, there is currently a 400kb limit on full image size, the image is over 600kb. Saving as a jpg will usually reduce the size.

The https shouldn’t be an issue.

Pared the file down to 15 kB 72 dpi jif file, but it shows up as a broken image.

What am I doing wrong?

Can you give it another try?

Tried several times over the weekend but no luck. Now it doesn’t even show a broken file. I guess it is not that important. I tend to be somewhat obsessive at times. However, I used Gimp 2.0 to make the files I tried. It must have something to do with the formatting of those jpeg files that cause the problem.
Here is the current uploaded picture and bad thumbnail in display

Its working okay with https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/a4/0d/j42ExZKM_t.jpg

Image limit has been increased to 800kb, but the original png won’t work. Best to use jpg for the full image.

Apparently Jpegs differ when you use different graphics programs. I have tried several versions but only this one has worked even though others were well within the 400 kb limit. This one is 166 kb. It didn’t appear to work immediately after inserting it but this morning I saw it was working.
Thank you for your efforts even in this small matter. I really appreciate your services and intend to continue to donate in the future.

No problems, thanks for reporting the issues.
